Type D/ E Insert Nuts provide a strong, permanent thread for wood and wood-based sheet materials. The incorporated flange alleviates splitting and prevents the Insert Nut from being driven in too far.
To install, simply screw the self-tapping body into the base material. The unique external thread ensures secure fixing and offers strong resistance to pull-out due to torsion or vibration.
Typical applications include audio equipment, cabinets, chairs, desks and shop equipment.
Insert nuts for wood type D are available from stock in zinc alloy from M3 to M10 in various lengths and finishes (usually zinc or zinc & yellow).
