Important Safety Notes
- This product is an auxiliary jump starter and cannot directly start a car without connecting to the car battery.
- Only for cars with 12V batteries and engines up to 3.5L. Not suitable for large vehicles or heavy-duty engines.
- Do not use if the car battery is completely damaged; the car will not start.
- Use original or high-quality tool batteries for best performance. Low-quality or old batteries may fail.
- Reverse connection alert: Red & green lights indicate incorrect connection.
- Short-circuit protection: Voltage across clamps may read 0V without a car battery connected. This is normal.
- Do not place the adapter in water or fire. Always handle with insulated clips to prevent electric shock.
Operation Instructions
- Insert a compatible Makita 18V lithium battery into the adapter; the green light will flash.
- Wait until the green light is steady, indicating the adapter is ready.
- Connect clamps to the car battery: red = positive (+), black = negative (-).
If red & green lights both flash, switch clamps immediately.
If green & red lights flash alternately, battery charge is too low; use a fully charged Makita 18V battery. - Once the green light is steady, start the car (typically 3–5 minutes charging). Avoid ignition longer than 2 seconds per attempt.
- After successful ignition, remove clamps and battery within 30 seconds to prevent hazards. Let the engine continue to run normally.
- This adapter does not convert or step down voltage; it safely transfers power from the tool battery to jump-start the car.
